Sulfur River Prospect
The Sulfur River prospect is located in northeast Texas about 80 miles from Dallas and has been an ambitious undertaking by Parwest since early 2007. The feature is a large uplifted block of sediments where Parwest has acquired over 14,000 acres to date.

Parwest Well Locations SR-1 and SR-2
The upthrown block that escaped compression during the Ouachita Orogeny is shown in red (the diagonal line is the county line). This uplifted area has already been confirmed by numerous wells drilled by other companies. Based on Relucent Imagery (a type of geochemical survey using microwaves) hydrocarbon seepage is occurring above the -5,000 ft contour. shown here by the arrow. Two drilled and abandoned wells, the Wassom and the Murphy, were close to this contour but missed it. These and other wells on the upthrown block are all downdip and too low structurally to encounter the Relucent-indicated pay zones. Two exploration wells will be drilled by Parwest. The first well, Sulfur River # 1 (SR-1), will be ~ 2 miles NW of the Murphy and will be a Simpson oil test to 6,500 ft. The second well, SR-2, will be ~ 7 miles NW of the Wassom, which had a gas show in the Arbuckle formation. SR-2 will be drilled to 9,500 ft to test the Arbuckle formation.
